Involvement: BASIC, Red Cross Disaster Relief volunteer, Volunteer Center of the Cedar Valley board member, Health Promotion student Ambassador, Employee at the Wellness and Recreation Center and the Center for Energy and Environmental Education                                              Plans After Graduation: After I graduate, I plan to move away from Iowa for a time and hopefully work in international development, global public health, and community capacity building. 
Fun Facts: I hope to some day be fluent in Spanish, travel to all 50 states, 6 continents, have a family, own a dog, and be a vegan.

Samantha Lanphier

Major: Leisure, Youth, and Human Services and Family Services
Hometown: Mt. Pleasant, Iowa
Involvement: UNI Dance Marathon, LYHS Student Ambassador
Plans After Graduation: Work for a nonprofit hopefully in a children’s hospital, or an organization like the Ronald McDonald House.
Fun Facts: I enjoy reading, drinking coffee, spending time with friends and family, and hope to live in a new state for a couple years after graduation.

Involvement: Dance Marathon Director of Corporate Partnerships, Former St. Stephen the Witness Catholic Student Center Small Group Leader, Former Camp Adventure CDC Intern
Plans After Graduation: I would love to work with the Peace Corps or do mission work through a Church!
Fun Facts: I love to travel and have been to six different countries, I am also a big fan of playing the ukulele and the kazoo, reading books, and drinking tea.

Involvement: BASIC, Love INC, Spectrum Project
Plans After Graduation: After graduation I would like to join the Peace Corps or another international organization so I can experience more of the world! After working internationally, I hope to work stateside in youth programming because I believe every child deserves the encouragement and opportunity to reach for their dreams.
Fun Facts: I have currently been to eight countries, and I cannot wait to add to the list!

Plans After Graduation: I hope to work for a nonprofit as an event planner.
Fun Facts: Some of my favorite things are dark chocolate, coffee, heated blankets, essential oils, and the Green Bay Packers, My favorite quote is “Leave people better than you found them”

Involvement: Student Admissions Ambassadors
Plans After Graduation: I am planning to see where life takes me! I would love to work for Teach for America or Teachers Without Borders. As long as children are involved, I’m interested!
Fun Facts: I have a golden retriever/cocker spaniel, named Juliet. I can sing the alphabet backwards. My favorite pizza toppings are green olives and pepperoni. I want to do lots of traveling throughout my life!

Involvement: President of the UNI Women’s Club Volleyball Team
Plans After Graduation: After graduation I hope to get a job that deals with youth programming. I also hope to coach volleyball someday.
Fun Facts: I grew up on a farm. My favorite color is purple. Summer is my favorite time of the year because I love going boating with my family.

Micah McCutchan

Major: Political Science & Public Administration with a minor in International Affairs
Hometown: Creston, Iowa
Involvement: UNI NextGen Fellow, UNI Proud Member, Northern Iowa Feminists Member, UNI Model United Nations Member, Political Science Society Member
Plans After Graduation: Law School at University of Iowa, then on to practicing some form advocacy law hopefully. I want to focus on prison reform, especially when it comes to mental health and drug addiction. 
Fun Facts: I’m vegan! That means I don’t eat or wear any animals or animal products. I do it for the environment, the animals, & my health. Also, NBC’s Parks & Recreation is my favorite TV show. The cast is so funny; I love it!
